Round table and exhibition in Batumi
19.09.11 - On the 16th of September a round table and exhibition of art-therapy works were organized in Batumi Hotel Radisson Blu under the slogan: «Mental Health Reform-from isolation to reintegration.» The topic of the meeting was protection of the rights of people with mental health problems and promotion of their reintegration into society as well as discussion of the current reform in the mental health sphere.

The exhibition of the art-therapy works was held in the hall of the hotel, the name of the exhibition was: «Extraordinary exhibition-2011».
Exhibition of artworks made by people with mental health problems has become a tradition and at present has been organized for the fifth time. The exhibition had visitors such as Ambassador of Holland with his wife, representatives of the Ministry of Health in Ajara, representatives of Parliament, project partners from England and representatives of community organizations. The exhibition was attended by the chairman of the Ajara Council of Ministers, Levan Varshalomidze and Mayor of Batumi, Robert Chkhaidze. The exhibition was widely shown through local and central media sources.
Organizers of the exhibition: Union «Partnership for Equal Rights», Global Initiative in Psychiatry-Tbilisi, Georgian Center of Psychosocial and Medical Rehabilitation for the Victims of torture (Batumi branch), Association of Psychosocial Rehabilitation «Art-Rhythmia», Rehabilitation Department of Adjara Republic Psycho-Neurological Hospital.
The project was funded by EU and by MATRA Social Transformation Program, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
